After using the new Postini Preemptive
Mail Protection System for approximately
a week and a half (ours was setup on 10/21/04),
I would recommend it to anyone who asked
me for my opinion. It is so wonderful
to open my inbox and find it filled with
actual desired e-mails as opposed to 125
pieces [of SPAM] that had even slipped
through our former email guard system.
It is also nice to be able to go into
the website to check the office's quarantined
e-mails and find that they are exactly
what we did not want filling our inboxes,
and to be able to easily get rid of them.
I also like the fact that we get notices
from WDSI regarding only those e-mail
accounts that have actually received mail
that has been quarantined. This makes
it necessary to only check those particular
addresses instead of all addresses in
our office. Even though there are only
11 users in our office, checking everyone's
[email] would still take time that could
be used elsewhere in our busy law office.
Postini's notification system makes that
completely unnecessary. Once again, I
would highly recommend changing to Postini
from other email guard systems. Thanks
