Remote Printing Solutions: ThinPrint .print

ThinPrint .print greatly enhances the printing capabilities of Citrix MetaFrame and Microsoft Terminal Services. ThinPrint creates a virtually driver free printing environment enabling quick and easy printing to different printers on different platforms for remote users.

ThinPrint's Driver Free Printing technology makes it possible to transmit print data without a printer driver installed on the server. A special ThinPrint component, the Output Gateway, simulates a printer driver and sends the compressed print data in a printer-independent raw format to the local print system. There, the print data is rendered by the local printer driver instead of being rendered on the server. The advantages to this technology are obvious:
