Application Training Services
|
We believe that end-user training is essential for the successful
implementation of new software and technology within an organization. However,
we also recognize that training must be customized to the diverse needs of the
participants, and fit within our clients budget and time constraints. We
work closely with clients to develop the type of training environment that will
increase productivity and maximize their investment in people and technology.
As we do not subscribe to a "one size fits all" mentality, we offer a variety
of training options that include:

- Personalized One-on-One Instruction -
WDSI will work with new or existing users one-on-one to train them on
their exact operating environment. This allows us to adjust the material
and pace to their unique requirements, while making suggestions intended
to improve efficiency and workflow.
- Customized Classroom Training
- While general software instruction has it's place
and builds a sound foundation of knowledge, we believe
that the most effective instruction for users
is accomplished by training them on the exact environment
in which they will be working. Many times, training
is an integral component of a systems migration
and must be planned and coordinated with workstation
deployment, allowing users to immediately begin using
their new skill set. WDSI works with clients to
integrate classroom training into the project design,
thereby minimizing overall training cost and time
while providing users with the exact information
that they require.
- Floor Support -
Floor support is provided to users who have just completed classroom
training, or in cases where the changes introduced by a platform
upgrade do not necessitate formalized instruction. The goal of our floor
support is to assist users to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines using
the new software features, minimize disruption to the office, and inspire
users to become problem solvers.
- Help Desk -
Our Help Desk services minimize the strain placed on a client's existing
support staff during and after a major systems migration.
- Product Demonstration & Proof of Concept -
Product demonstrations educate clients and allow them to understand
new features and capabilities as provided by a recommended solution. This
enables clients to make sound strategic decisions when dealing with
complex technical products and solutions.
- Pilot User Training -
WDSI encourages firms who are undertaking a major systems migration to
form a "pilot user group" of individuals within the firm that are
in position to make decisions regarding best practices and standards. These
"project advocates" typically function as an internal resource
during and after the project, and may be ultimately responsible in
providing instruction to users via WDSI's "train the trainer" training
option.
